Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 7, 2026

Hello CrossStitch ("the App") is published by Michael Pettersson Solutions AB, a company registered in Sweden ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data is handled when you use the App. Questions: support@hellocrossstitch.com.

The short version

The App has no user accounts and no server of ours. Your stitching projects, progress, and imported pattern files stay on your device.
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which processes some device data to serve them. You control personalization.
Deleting the App deletes all data it stored on your device.

Data we collect ourselves

None. We do not operate accounts or servers for the App. Your projects, stitch progress, settings, and any pattern PDFs you import are processed and stored only on your device. Imported files are never uploaded to us.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, Google may process data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address (including approximate location derived from it), device and app information, and ad interaction data.

Your choice on iOS: the App asks for permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog. If you decline, the App requests non-personalized ads only.
EEA/UK: on first launch you are shown a consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → About → Ad Privacy Settings.
No ads with subscription: the optional Ad-Free subscription removes ads entirely.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive your name, address, or payment details. Purchase management and refunds are handled by Apple.

Data retention and deletion

Everything the App stores lives on your device. Deleting the App removes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on a server, because we have none.

Your rights (EEA/UK residents)

Where GDPR applies, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection regarding personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (see Ad Privacy Settings above). You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Sweden this is IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten). For ad-related data processed by Google, please also refer to Google's privacy documentation.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
